Product Spotlight: House-Made, Organic Granola

We’ve been told that our granola can’t be beat! It’s house-made, gluten-free, and 95% organic. It is sweetened solely with applesauce, agave and a touch of coconut sugar, giving each half-cup serving only 6 grams of sugar. This ultimately gives you just the right amount of energy without the unwanted sugar rush or empty calories. We asked our wonderful chef, Casey Hoxter, what her thoughts were on the subject.

“Our granola is packed with protein – and yes, it’s sweetened – but not like your typical granola. It’s sweetened with healthy, natural sugar! Oftentimes, health-conscious eaters are afraid of granola due to the high sugar content in combination with the high fat content – but not all sugars or fats are created equal.”

Not only is our granola naturally sweetened, but it’s also filled with protein, fiber, and omega-3 fatty acids (healthy fats) from seeds and tree nuts. At Fruitive, every ingredient counts – #LiveYourHealth!

Ellen Dickerson, one of our favorite, granola-obesessed regulars, left our readers a note to tell us what she thinks about our granola …

“One of my favorite meals at Fruitive is the PB No J bowl [ingredients acai berry, peanut butter, apple juice, almond milk, banana, cacao nibs, and granola]. When Fruitive started making their own granola, I immediately tasted the difference. Soon thereafter, Fruitive started selling their granola separately, and I’ve been buying it ever since. I love that it’s gluten free, and I never feel guilty eating something so tasty knowing that it’s good for me. Almost daily, I make breakfast with Fruitive’s granola—I use the granola as cereal and add almond milk and fruit. But, my favorite way to use the granola is adding it to a bowl of Greek yogurt with fruit and a little bit of honey. As a new mom, I need to be able to make a healthy breakfast for myself that can be prepared quickly (and sometimes while holding an infant). To-go bags of granola from Fruitive really help me get my mornings off to a healthy start. I just love when healthy tastes so good!”

Love, Ellen Dickerson
