Today we are featuring the lovely Brittney D, the creative behind Exploring Healthy Foods.
My name is Brittney D and I live in the Canadian Prairies. I started dancing (jazz, ballet, lyrical) when I was 10 and that’s really when my interest in nutrition started. I went on and got my degree in Human Nutritional Sciences from the University of Manitoba. I was able to work with many dietitians, students and professors along the way and learn about nutrition and how to communicate with clients. While doing my degree, I started an Instagram account sharing pictures of what I was eating and healthy recipes. This led me to start my blog, Exploring Healthy Foods, that has been ever growing. Exploring Healthy Foods has turned into a place where people from all over the world come to share their stories, join in monthly nutrition challenges and talk all things nutrition related.

The Fruitive motto “Live your health. Live your values” is what I am all about. Being able to share healthy recipes and communicate with others about health everyday makes me truly happy. Enjoying life, nourishing the body with good foods, exercising and being around friends and family is how I “live my health.”
THE ULTIMATE GREEN SMOOTHIE
Today I want to share a smoothie recipe I like to call “The Ultimate Green Smoothie” because it is loaded with vitamin A, vitamin K, fibre, selenium and much more! Enjoy this smoothie for breakfast or after a good workout!
1 cup of kale
1 large celery stalk
½ cup pineapple
1 plum (replace with apple if unavailable)
1 brazil nut
½ cup orange juice
½ cup water
