ALMOND-BERRY SMOOTHIE BOWL
1 banana (fresh or frozen)
1 heaping cup of frozen blueberries or mixed berries
1 to 2 large handfuls of curly kale
2 heaping tablespoons almond butter
1 tablespoon chia seeds
3/4 – 1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk (you may need a little more)
3 – 4 ice cubes
Toppings: fresh banana slices, granola (i.e. Fruitive granola), kiwi, fresh berries, oats, hemp seeds, chia seeds, almond slivers, sunflower seeds, shredded coconut, cacao nibbs, pumpkin seeds… the list is endless!
First blend together the almond milk and curly kale until smooth.
Then add the frozen fruit, chia seeds, & almond butter. Blend until smooth. Add the ice cubes and blend.
Pour smoothie into your favorite bowl.
And lastly, add toppings! Pictured toppings: hemp seeds, granola, and shredded coconut.
